Jervis Bay Marine Park
A unique bay situated on the south-east coast of Australia. Jervis Bay is a haven for people and wildlife alike and supports a range of recreational pursuits and tourism. At the entrance, towering cliffs of sandstone carved over millions of years, stand like sentinels guarding a precious resource. Jervis Bay Marine Park was established in 1998 in recognition of the natural values of the area. Supporting a diverse range of marine life, the park extends over 21,000 hectares encompassing 120 km of coastline. There are many ways to enjoy the environment, "Maintaining the Balance" of conservation and human use is critical to ensure that the benefits of this delicate and unique ecosystem remain available for future generations to enjoy.
